With Wood Memory, I aim to make visible how deeply people influence who we are.

I work on wood by taking into account its veins and existing marks, treating it as a living organism. I intervene by drawing lines that meet the natural ones, as if they were traces left by encounters, relationships, and passages. The tree becomes a metaphor for the person: a structure that grows, changes, and carries within it all the traces of what it has gone through.

I choose this approach because I am interested in showing that no identity exists in isolation. Every relationship, even the briefest one, leaves an imprint that continues to exist over time.

I invite the viewer to recognize these traces within their own experience. The moments we share and the people we meet, even when they are no longer present, remain part of us.

The inspiration of Wood Memory comes from Arte Povera in particular Giuseppe Penone.

The work does not simply represent memory, but makes it visible as something that continues to live within both matter and relationships.
